Financial terms of the deal, expected to close by the end of the year, were not disclosed. Silver Tail will operate as part of EMC's RSA security division. Forstall plans to leave next year, and will serve as an advisor to CEO Tim Cook in the interim. Additionally, the company said that John Browett will depart as its head of retail. Cupertino-based Apple is hoping those, as well as the expansion of roles for Jony Ive, Bob Mansfield, Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi, will lead to greater collaboration between its hardware, software and services teams. FundersClub offers an online marketplace that allows investors to fund pre-screened, private companies, typically with between $250,000-$1 million. Members can use the FundersClub website to screen companies, sign legal documents with e-signature, and make payments.
