Those fired included Bob Peck, head of the GSA's Public Building Service, and Stephen Leeds, a top advisor to Johnson, according to White House officials. Among other steps, the GSA has placed four regional commissioners on administrative leave, reduced travel budgets and ordered greater oversight. In her resignation letter to President Obama, Johnson said the GSA had made a "significant mis-step." "I feel I must step aside as administrator so that the agency can move forward at this time with a fresh leadership team," Johnson wrote. "Collectively, the people of GSA now must review, repair and rebuild." According to a report by the Inspector General's office, GSA officials spent nearly $823,000 on travel, catering and other costs related to the 2010 Western Regions Conference at the M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas. The costs included two "scouting trips," five off-site planning meetings and a "dry run." According to the report, 71% of iPhones in the U.S. used both mobile and Wi-Fi networks to connect to the Internet in February, while only 32% of Android phones used both types of connections. When it came to those browsing only through mobile networks, however, Android users outpaced iPhone users, 68% to 29%.
