San Francisco -- Salesforce.com, the San Francisco-based enterprise cloud computing company, said on Monday it pay approximately $689 million in cash and stock to acquire New York-based Buddy Media, developer of a social media marketing platform. The deal is expected to close by the end of October. The move comes more than year after Salesforce.com also acquired Radian6, developer of a social media monitoring platform.
