The company on Monday filed a report with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stating it had raised the first $325 million of a planned $450 million round, though published reports have since put the actual amount raised at $350 million. Investors included BlackRock, T. Rowe Price and Morgan Stanley, according to The Wall Street Journal. Previous backers U.S. Venture Partners, Shasta Ventures, First Round Capital and Richmond Park Partners also participated. Dennis Phelps, a general partner at IVP, will join the company's board of directors. ZEFR's BrandID platform is designed to connect fans and franchises, while helping brands manage and monetize their fans. Clients include Adidas, as well as agencies like Wieden and Kennedy and the Starcom Media Group.
