Participants included Cassiopeia Capital Partners, Cisco, UMC Capital and previous backers Benchmark Capital, NEA and Walden International. o San Francisco-Based Demandbase Raises $15 Million in New Funding

San Francisco -- Demandbase, the San Francisco-based developer of a B2B targeting and personalization platform, said on Monday it has raised $15 million in a new round of funding, led by Greenspring Associates. Previous backers Scale Venture Partners, SigmaWest, Altos Ventures, Costanoa Ventures and Adobe Systems also participated in the round, which the company will use to accelerate the growth of its advertising tools and release new products later this year. Demandbase’s platform is designed to identify and segment the companies visiting a particular website, then provide targetable business attributes in real-time. "Real-time bidding (RTB) display ad spending has become a $4 billion dollar market in just a few years, but it had lacked a B2B solution." said CEO Chris Golec. "The Demandbase platform fills this void."

"It extends our next-generation security platform with a very innovative approach to preventing attacks on the endpoint," said Mark McLaughlin, the president and CEO of Palo Alto Networks.
