Nude photos of celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Selena Gomez and Kirsten Dunst were posted to the website 4chan on Sunday, most likely after being stolen from a cloud-based storage network. "After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the Internet," the Cupertino-based company said in a statement. "None of the cases we have investigated has resulted from any breach in any of Apple's systems including iCloud or Find my iPhone." http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2014/09/02Apple-Media-Advisory.html _____________________________________________ o San Francisco-Based WHILL Raises $11 Million in First Round San Francisco -- WHILL, the San Francisco based start-up developer of personal mobility devices with all direction four-wheel drive, said on Tuesday it has raised $11 million in its first round of funding, led by Innovation Network Corp. of Japan (INCJ). 500 Startups and Sun Microsystems co-founder and former CEO Scott McNealy also participated, as did Jochu and NTT Docomo Ventures. The company, which also has offices in Japan, said it will use the proceeds to manufacture and expand distribution of its line of indoor and all-terrain outdoor personal mobility devices, primarily used by the injured or disabled.
