Prior investors Battery Ventures and Sutter Hill Ventures also took part in the round, which raises the company's total funding to $160 million. Glassdoor said it will use the proceeds for international expansion. It currently has more than 27 million registered members worldwide, and recently launched its first non-English website and mobile apps in France. The company, which is located about six miles north of San Francisco, currently has approximately 350 employees, and is continuing to hire. Its site features free and anonymous user-generated, company-specific reviews, ratings and salary content that currently spans more than 340,000 companies. The company also has built a jobs meta-search engine, as well as employer-focused products.

New York -- Wireless carrier Verizon Communications is in talks to potentially acquire AOL in a bid to bolster its ad technology and expand its mobile video offerings, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.
