Previous backers Khosla Ventures, Battery Ventures, Randstad Innovation Fund and Chartline Capital Partners also participated in the round, which increased the company's total funding to $58.2 million. Suken Vakil, a general partner at JMI Equity, has joined the company's board of directors. HackerRank said it will use the proceeds to accelerate its growth in the enterprise, expand and support its community of more than 3.4 million developers and bolster its data science research and development. Financial terms of the deal, expected to close by the end of March, were not disclosed. The acquisition extends Fitbit's reach into healthcare, laying the foundation for the company to expand its offerings to health plans, health systems and self-insured employers, while creating opportunities to increase subscription-based revenue.
