Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. "We're building out a platform that goes beyond skills matching. We're looking at deeper attributes to determine compatibility in order to facilitate better matches," said Shahab Kaviani, co-founder of CoFoundersLab. The company said the agreement will allow for the development of next-generation video cams utilizing Looxcie's intellectual property. The technology is being developed for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (DHS S&T). Tim Armstrong, the company's CEO, revealed the latest plans in a memo to employees, published by TechCrunch. AOL said its Membership Group will house the businesses that serve free and paid members of its consumer products, such as AOL.com and AOL Mail. The Content Brand Group will house the company's content and service brands, while the Advertising.com Group will house its B2B services and network businesses. In conjunction with the changes, AOL has promoted Artie Minson from CFO to the new role of COO. He will also continue as CFO while the company searches for a replacement. Under the deal, the CEA will produce the 2013 IAWTV Awards, scheduled for Jan. 8 in Las Vegas as part of the International CES. The awards, voted on the by members of the IAWTV, honor and promote excellence in web television.
