Under the agreement, KEYW initially will pay $15 million in cash and $9 million in stock, with the remainder payable if Sensage meets certain revenue targets in the second half of this year. The deal is expected to close next month. KEYW said the acquisition, expected to close next month, will not only expand its commercial market opportunity, but also support its cyber awareness and response platform, known as Project G. The company plans to ship initial orders to buyers by Sept. 21, but could only promised delivery in two weeks for later buyers. The large rush reportedly sent both the Apple and AT&T online stores down for a period of time early Friday. Introduced on Wednesday, the iPhone 5. features a larger screen, thinner case, more powerful chip and, for the first time, the ability to connect to the Internet through 4G wireless networks. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. FastSoft was launched in 2006 to commercialize network optimization technology. The company's FastTCP algorithms are designed to improve Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), speeding the rates of dynamic page views and file transfer downloads while reducing the effects of network latency and packet loss.
