The company said the round was led by "two of the world’s largest investment firms," but declined to identify either. Other participants included new investors ClearBridge Investments, Firsthand Technology Value Fund, Northport Investments and Pine River Capital Management, as well as previous backers Norwest Venture Partners, Trident Capital, Shasta Ventures and Focus Ventures. Turn said it will use the proceeds to bolster its technology platform, data science and machine-learning algorithms, as well as for continued global expansion.
