Tiger Global Management led the round, which also included participation from previous backers Benchmark, Matrix Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners and Peter Thiel. InterWest Partners, VMware and Accenture also took part in the round, which increases the company's total backing to more than $48 million. Previous investors include Google Ventures, Opus Capital and Shasta Ventures. "This investment gives Crittercism the opportunity to take our operations to the next level, accelerate our enterprise offerings and bolster our capabilities to scale the business internationally," said co-founder and CEO Andrew Levy. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Blacksumac is the developer of Piper, a self-managed and self-monitored device combining panoramic video, home automation and environmental sensors. iControl said the acquisition will expand its connected home management offerings to new markets, including rental properties, multiple-dwelling residences and international audiences. "Piper's unique product offering appeals to a large and mostly underserved consumer market segment," said Bob Hagerty, the CEO of iControl. The company also announced the live launch of myWebRoom.com from its beta testing period. The platform lets users create personalized "WebRooms," clickable collections of décor images that link to items from partner sites. AME Cloud Ventures, Google Ventures and individual investors also took part in the round, which the company will use to further develop its inaugural robot. Launched last year, Savioke is led by CEO Steve Cousins, who was previously the president and CEO of personal robotics company Willow Garage. There, he managed the spin-off of eight different robotics companies.
