Nine unspecified investors took part in the round, which the company eventually hopes to close at $27 million. The company, formerly known as Coulomb Technologies, now has raised about $110 million since its inception. The company, which now has raised $5.3 million since its inception in early 2012, plans to use the latest funds to expand sales and marketing activities. Attempting to address widespread criticism of the proposal, Tom Wheeler is expected to issue new language making it clear the FCC will scrutinize all deals to assure that companies not participating in the so-called "paid prioritization" aren't put at a competitive disadvantage. Financial terms of the deal, expected to close by midyear, were not disclosed. Founded in 2000, Peak 10 provides hybrid IT infrastructure services, including data center services, private and enterprise cloud infrastructure, and managed services. The company operates 24 data centers in 10 U.S. markets. GI will make the investment from its GI Partners Fund IV, a private equity fund with $2 billion of capital commitments. Genstar and Bain Capital Ventures acquired TravelClick in 2007.
