Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. "We have some exciting news today so I’ll cut to the chase -- Poptip will be joining Palantir beginning August 1," wrote founder Kelsey Falter in a blog post. Poptip has nearly 60 clients, and is backed by investors including Lerer Ventures, RSE Ventures and David Tisch. https://www.palantir.com http://blog.poptip.com/post/93241017288/poptip-joins-palantir _____________________________________________ o Oracle Extends Micros Tender Offer in Wake of Low Response Rate Redwood Shores, Calif. -- Oracle, the Redwood Shores-based software giant, on Tuesday night extended its all-cash tender offer for shares of Maryland-based Micros Systems, a provider of information technology systems to the hospitality and retail industries. The company made the move after seeing a low response rate from Micros shareholders, according to the Wall Street Journal. As of Monday, just 2.5% of the company's 74.9 million shares had been tendered. The offer, which had been scheduled to expire July 31, now will expire Aug. 15. Oracle first announced the $5.3 billion acquisition in June. Though specific financial terms were not disclosed, the company said in June it planned to add another $4.4 million to close its latest round at $27 million. It has raised nearly $114 million since its inception from backers such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Braemar Energy Ventures, Siemens Venture Capital, Voyager Capital, BMW and Rho Ventures.
