New investors, including an unspecified "large global bank" and SingTel Innov8, joined previous backers New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Norwest in the round. Scott Sandell, general partner and head of NEA’s technology investing practice, will join the company's board of directors. The company, which now has raised $35 million since its inception, said it will use the latest funds to expand sales, marketing and technology development activities. "The fresh capital will enable us to accelerate innovation and growth," said CEO Nat Kausik. Previous backers Khosla Ventures, IA Ventures and AME Cloud Ventures participated in the round, which also included new investors Intel Capital and Juniper Networks. The company will use the proceeds to accelerate research and development, as well as sales and marketing activities. Vectra's X-series platform continuously monitors an organization's network, providing intuitive and prioritized reporting to allow for prompt response. The platform detects attacks for all devices, operating systems and applications. Participants included Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), Aeris Capital, EDBI and other previous backers. The company said it will use the proceeds to fuel growth, operations and development of its platform. "Mobile app developers want to have full control of their inventory and data in a self-serve model," said co-founder and CEO Ragnar Kruse. "As such, we will use this new funding to build out our next-generation [publisher] platform." The agency found that LinkedIn was in violation of the overtime and record-keeping provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to record, account and pay for all hours worked in a workweek. Affected employees worked at the company's facilities in California, Illinois, Nebraska and New York. When notified of the violations, LinkedIn agreed to pay all the back wages due and take proactive steps to prevent repeat violations. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Fluidware, launched in 2008 by co-CEOs Eli Fathi and Aydin Mirzaee, is the developer of FluidSurveys and FluidReview. FluidSurveys is an online tool that allows users to create fully-customized surveys, collect data from respondents and analyze results in real-time. FluidReview is a tools that lets organizations collect, manage and review applications and submissions online. The Santa Rosa-based business will remain a unit of Agilent until early November, when the separation is expected to be completed. Keysight then will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "KEYS."
