o WSJ: Cupertino-Based Apple to Launch Online TV Service This Fall

Cupertino, Calif. -- Apple plans to launch an online TV service, potentially including around 25 channels of programming, beginning this fall, The Wall Street Journal reported. The Cupertino-based company reportedly is in talks with a number of TV programmers, and is likely to launch the service with networks such as ABC, CBS and Fox. A rift between Apple and Comcast, however, may preclude networks owned by NBC Universal, such as NBC, USA and Bravo. The Journal said Apple plans to announce the service, which would work on all devices powered by the company's iOS operating system, in June and launch it in September. The company most likely would charge between $30-$40 a month for access.
