o San Francisco-Based Ticketfly Raises $50 Million in Fourth Round

San Francisco -- Ticketfly, the San Francisco-based developer of online ticketing, digital marketing and analytics tools, said on Wednesday it has raised $50 million in its fourth round of funding, led by Riverwood Capital. Previous investors Mohr Davidow Ventures, Sapphire Ventures, Cross Creek Capital, Northgate Capital, Primary Ventures and Contour Venture Partners also participated. Ticketfly, which now has raised $85 million since its inception in 2008, said it will use the funds to accelerate development of its cloud-based live events platform, including new products and services for its existing client base. The company also said it pans to move into larger facilities, expand globally and into adjacent verticals, and reimagine the event-going experience for fans. "Technology has forever changed how we listen to music today, but we've only scratched the surface of how it can transform live events, for both promoters and fans," said co-founder and CEO Andrew Dreskin.

San Francisco -- Demandbase, the San Francisco-based developer of a platform that helps B2B companies identify and target the accounts they value most, then specifically market to them, said on Wednesday it has landed $30 million in a new round of funding. Sageview Capital led the round, which also included participation from previous backers Adobe Systems, Altos Ventures, Costanoa Venture Capital, Greenspring Associates, Salesforce.com Ventures, Scale Venture Partners and Sigma West. The company now has raised more than $90 million since its inception. It plans to use the latest funds to accelerate growth in the U.S. and abroad, as well as explore acquisition opportunities. San Francisco -- StyleSeat, the San Francisco-based developer of a site for booking beauty and wellness appointments, said on Wednesday it has raised $25 million in its second round of funding, led by Fosun Kinzon Capital. Lightspeed Venture Partners, Cowboy Ventures and Slow Ventures also contributed. Founded in 2011, StyleSeat has powered more than 20 million appointments for hair stylists, make-up artists, nail technicians and other beauty and wellness experts, The company maintains a network of more than 320,000 professionals. Melody McCloskey, StyleSeat's co-founder and CEO, said the company will use the proceeds to "rapidly expand upon this base and drive even more innovative developments." The company on Wednesday also named Scot Gensler as its vice president of business and corporate development.

o UniPixel to Relocate Headquarters from Texas to Santa Clara

Santa Clara, Calif. -- UniPixel, a maker of engineered films to the touch screen and flexible printed electronics markets, said on Wednesday it will relocate its headquarters from Texas to Santa Clara. The company's new corporate headquarters will be located at 4699 Old Ironsides Drive. The move comes three months after UniPixel acquired a touchscreen technology, manufacturing facility and customer relationships from Atmel. "Leveraging the infrastructure of the acquired engineering and marketing teams, which were already based in Silicon Valley, was a logical step as we continue building our business," said CEO Jeffrey Hawthorne. UniPixel is developing electronic conductive films for use in electronic sensors. The company plans to market its films for touch panel sensor, cover glass replacement, protective cover film, antenna and custom circuitry applications.

Together, the companies plan to incubate up to 10 companies a year focused on cybersecurity analytics, big data and Internet of Things (IoT) security.
