o San Francisco-Based TruSTAR Raises $2 Million in Seed Funding

San Francisco -- TruSTAR, a San Francisco and Washington, DC-based developer of enterprise technology for anonymous cyber incident sharing and collaboration, said on Monday it has raised $2 million in a new round of seed funding, led by Resolute Ventures. Other Silicon Valley-based investors also took part in the round, which the company will use to accelerate product development and expand its team. TruSTAR's privacy-preserving platform aims to protect and incentivize enterprises to share cyber threat information, helping them to collectively guard against attacks. "In order to make progress and beat the cyber criminals at their own game, we must move from an individualistic model to one of connective defense," said Paul Kurtz, the co-founder and CEO of TruSTAR, and a former White House cybersecurity advisor. "True progress will only be made once we share our data, pool our expertise and connect our response."
