Cupertino, Calif. -- Apple will introduce its new iPad 3 during an event in San Francisco scheduled for the first week of March, the blog All Things D reported. Citing unnamed sources, the blog said the newest generation of the popular device will feature a faster chip, an improved display and, almost certainly, the company's Siri voice search feature, which it rolled out in the most recent iPhone. Analyst Ezra Gottheil of Technology Business Research told Computerworld that Apple also eventually could release a smaller, 7-inch iPad, similar to Amazon's Kindle Fire.

The settlement doesn't require Intel to makes any changes to the way it conducts business. "Following recent court rulings in Intel's favor that significantly and appropriately narrowed the scope of this case, we were able to reach an agreement with New York to bring to an end what remained of the case," said Doug Melamed, Intel's senior vice president and general counsel.
