o Fremont-Based Intematix Raises $16.2 Million in New Funding

Fremont, Calif. -- Intematix, a Fremont-based developer of phosphors and phosphor components used in LED lighting, said on Tuesday it has raised $16.2 million in a new round of funding from previous backers Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Crosslink Capital. A new unspecified investor also participated in the round, which the company will use to expand its facilities and further develop its products, as well as for working capital. "This investment further enables Intematix to continue its growth trajectory as it addresses the light quality needs required by the general lighting and display markets," said CFO Maurice Carson. Intematix said its phosphors enable white light comparable to conventional sources, while its ChromaLit remote phosphor systems have shown more efficient cooling.

> Executive Briefing -- Product Portfolio Management

It's a fact! As your product portfolio grows, the market impact of your organization can quickly become diluted because traditional product management practices focus on improving the performance of each product. As development, marketing and sales resources are spread thinner across more products, the impact of each product, and the market impact of your organization diminish.

Executives and Senior Managers are invited to attend an Executive Briefing to learn how a Product Portfolio Management model improves your market value by uncovering and solving bigger problems beyond the limits of individual products.

Product Portfolio Management is a discipline focused on creating a more valuable company by uncovering and solving bigger problems at a level that transcends products. Business practices for evaluating markets, analyzing competitors, formulating strategies, developing requirements and executing product plans take aim at a completely different target - the performance of your company in key markets - and offers greater strategic value to your organization. Attend in 13 cities in April, May and June. $199 per person.
