A new unspecified investor also participated in the round, which the company will use to expand its facilities and further develop its products, as well as for working capital. "This investment further enables Intematix to continue its growth trajectory as it addresses the light quality needs required by the general lighting and display markets," said CFO Maurice Carson. Financial terms of the deal, expected to close within 45 days, were not disclosed. Thoma Bravo originally led a group that took the company private in a deal that closed in 2010. "During our ownership of the company, their implementation of our operational strategies resulted in a significant increase in SonicWall's value," said Orlando Bravo, managing partner of Thoma Bravo. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, SCIenergy will maintain a joint venture agreement with Mitsui & Co., a committed capital partner of Transcend Equity. Transcend's core offering, called Managed Energy Services Agreement (MESA), pays for a landlord's energy bill along with major capital investments needed to make buildings more energy-efficient. The investment was part of a $20 million debt and equity round for the company, which will utilize the funding as it moves toward FDA approval and commercialization of its products. Founded in 2005, Halt Medical has developed a procedure and related equipment for treating uterine fibroids that it says is less expensive and more effective than other alternatives. Alexandria, Va. -- After reaching an all-time high in January, the pace of information technology job growth in the U.S. accelerated in February, according to new figure from the TechServe Alliance, a collaboration of IT services firms, clients, consultants and suppliers. The number of IT jobs grew by 23,000, or 0.6%, during the month, and now stands at 4.13 million. Since February 2011, IT employment has grown by more than 100,000 jobs.
