Accel Partners and a large, unnamed institutional investor joined the round, which also included additional participation by Comcast Ventures, SAP Ventures, salesforce.com and the National Association of Realtors. Kleiner's Mary Meeker has joined the company's board of directors. "We have taken swift action and have now fixed this vulnerability, deployed additional security measures for affected Yahoo users, enhanced our underlying security controls and are in the process of notifying affected users," the Sunnyvale-based company wrote in its blog. Yahoo said it learned of the security breach on Wednesday, adding that the compromised information was provided by writers who had joined Associated Content prior to May 2010, when it was acquired by Yahoo. Governor Richmond, Va. -- Five months after stepping down as the nation's first federal CTO, Aneesh Chopra has announced his plans to run for lieutenant governor of Virginia. Chopra, a Democrat, will seek his party's nomination in 2013. In a statement posted to Facebook, Chopra said he is "committed to seeding innovative ideas that support a quality workforce and educating Virginians throughout their lifetime to strengthen and maintain a state economy that is built to last."
