The company first announced plans for the deal in April. Mediaroom, which has more than 400 employees, will be integrated into Ericsson's Business Unit Support Solutions group. The business will be known as Ericsson Mediaroom. Burns succeeds John Joyce, who will continue as the company's vice chairman. "I look forward to going deeper into the business as we execute on our strategy and business model and expand into new markets," said Joyce. The move compliments NASA's already strong presence on social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, Flickr, Foursquare and Reddit. "We're constantly looking to expand our social media portfolio to include tools that will best tell NASA's story of exploration and discovery," said Lauren Worley, NASA's press secretary.
