o San Francisco-Based Twitter Discloses Plans for IPO

San Francisco -- In what's certain to be one of the most highly anticipated initial public offerings ever, San Francisco-based social networking giant Twitter on Thursday officially unveiled plans to raise up to $1 billion in its IPO. The company, which announced last month -- through a tweet -- that it had confidentially filed to go public, has not yet divulged details of the offering, such as the number of shares to be sold or their expected price range. It plans to list shares under the symbol "TWTR" on an unspecified exchange. Goldman, Sachs & Co.; Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, BofA Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank Securities are listed as lead underwriters. The company claims 215 million monthly active users of its service, which lets people send up to 140 characters of text. Twitter's IPO is certain to be the most hyped since Facebook went public in May 2012. The company's complete S-1 filing is available at the link below.

Netskope's platform is designed to let employees use unsanctioned cloud apps without security or performance risks. "Cloud apps are the inevitable future because they let people go fast and work flexibly," said CEO Sanjay Beri. "We created Netskope to eliminate the catch-22 between being agile and being secure." The company, which currently has just over 50 employees, will use the funding primarily for sales expansion and product development.
