Under the deal, expected to close by mid-2014, Avago will pay $11.15 a share in cash. Avago said the acquisition will add enterprise storage to its existing wired infrastructure, wireless and industrial businesses, helping it better capitalize on rapid increases in data center IP and mobile data traffic. "This combination will increase the Company’s scale and diversify our revenue and customer base," said Hock Tan, the president and CEO of Avago. In a public-private partnership, city officials worked with Sunnyvale-based Ruckus Wireless to design and build the network, which runs from the intersection of Market and Castro Streets down to the pedestrian corridor at the Embarcadero. Valeant will pay $2.92 a share under the deal, which is expected to close in the first quarter of next year. "Solta's leading aesthetic devices are a natural fit with Valeant's facial injectables, professional skin care products and physician dispensed products and will establish Valeant in a strong leadership position as we continue to build our presence in the aesthetic market," said Michael Pearson, the chairman and CEO of Valeant.
