Milpitas, Calif. -- View, a Milpitas-based maker of architectural dynamic glass designed to intelligently adjust to external conditions and user preferences, said on Tuesday it has landed a $100 million investment from Menlo Park's Madrone Capital Partners. The company said it will use the funds to meet increasing customer demand for its products. Since launching the first large-scale commercialization of dynamic glass in Nov. 2012, View has installed more than 50 projects at corporate campuses, educational institutions, government buildings, hotels and hospitals across North America. The glass automatically regulates the amount of heat and glare that enters a building, Thomas Patterson, the co-founder and general partner of Madrone, will join the company's board of directors.
