Founded two years ago, UrbanSitter now operates in a dozen U.S. cities, including San Francisco. The company's platform shows parents and sitters how they are connected through Facebook contacts. Sitters post profile pages with information such as availability and hourly rates, and parents can view their reviews, certifications and experience. All told, the number of IT jobs grew 0.4% to 4.6 million. On a year-over-year basis, IT employment has grown 2.8% since Jan. 2013, adding 126,200 workers.
