Benchmark Capital and Bain Capital Ventures also took part in the round, which increased the company's total backing to $88 million. Optimizely's platform lets organizations run experiments online to help them deliver better experiences to their customers. DFJ led the round, which also included participation from Borealis Ventures. Flux was founded in 2012 at Google's moonshot factory, Google[x]. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2010, DSSD is developing a new type of chip module that combines a small amount of processing power with a lot of densely packed memory. The module is designed for storing information in situations where reading and writing information to disks bogs down software applications. Products based on the new architecture are expected to be available in 2015. Morse, who previously served as Yahoo's CFO and interim CEO, succeeds Bruce Felt, who will depart in June.
