The company also has appointed Greg Waldorf, a CEO-in-Residence at Accel Partners, as its new CEO. The company said it will use the proceeds to expand its employee base internationally and bolster product development and marketing activities. Waldorf is the former CEO of eHarmony, and was lead director at real estate site Trulia, in addition to his time with Accel. Invoice2go was founded in 2002 by Australian developer Chris Strode, who will continue to spearhead product development from the company's Sydney office. Other participants included Jeff Mallett, a principal partner of the San Francisco Giants, co-owner of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Derby County FC and former founding president and COO of Yahoo; and Vivek Ranadive, the founder and CEO of Tibco and owner of the Sacramento Kings. Joaquin Almunia, vice president of the European Commission responsible for competition policy, said in a speech that the settlement, announced by Google in February, falls short of evening the playing field with competitors. The Mountain View-based company proposed displaying the search results of three competitors alongside its own, but that remedy has since been criticized by both EU officials and rivals such as Microsoft. "Some of the 20 formal complainants have given us fresh evidence and solid arguments against several aspects of the latest proposals put forward by Google," said Almunia. "If Google's reply goes in the right direction, Article 9 proceedings will continue. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year. McGraw Hill Construction specializes in pre-bid and bid-stage construction data and analytics. McGraw Hill announced in March it was exploring strategic alternatives for the unit.
