o San Francisco-Based Okta Lands $75 Million in New Funding
San Francisco -- Okta, the San Francisco-based developer of an identity and mobility management service, said on Tuesday it has landed $75 million in a new round of funding, co-led by previous backers Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners and Sequoia Capital. Khosla Ventures, Altimeter Capital, Glynn Capital and others also participated in the round, which increases the company's total funding to $230 million since its inception in 2009. Todd McKinnon, Okta's co-founder and CEO, said the company will use the latest funds to "extend our leadership position in the market," "deliver more innovation across all our products" and "continue our growth and expansion into new regions." Okta currently boasts more than 2,500 clients, nearly 600 employees and new engineering and sales offices in Seattle, Toronto and Amsterdam.

o Campbell-Based Trunomi Raises $3 Million in New Funding Round
Campbell, Calif. -- Trunomi, a developer of consent-based data-sharing technology used by financial institutions to interact with their customers' data, said on Tuesday it has raised $3 million in a new round of funding, led by Saturn Partners. Fenway Summer, Persistent Ventures and SenaHill Partners also took part in the round. Bill Guttman, a general partner at Saturn, will join the company's board. Trunomi, which has offices in Campbell, Bermuda and London, said it will use the funds to continue bolstering its technology. The company's enterprise version is designed to expedite and improve customer onboarding, enabling financial institutions to realize new revenue streams and minimize exposure to regulatory and reputational risk. Its customer facing mobile and web apps also allow consumers to control and manage consent to share their own personal data.

o General Atlantic Names Robert Swan as Operating Partner
Palo Alto, Calif. -- Private equity firm General Atlantic on Tuesday named Robert Swan, the former CFO of eBay, as an operating partner. Swan, who will be based in the firm's Palo Alto office, will help portfolio companies develop their finance functions, as well as help to identify investment opportunities in the area of Internet and technology. Swan most recently served as the senior vice president of finance and CFO of San Jose-based eBay, and earlier was the CFO of Electronic Data Systems, TRW and Webvan Group.

o Forecast: 13% of Bay Area Companies to Add Jobs Over Next Six Months
Menlo Park, Calif. -- Fourteen percent of DC-area CFOs expect their companies to create new full-time jobs in the next six months, according to a new forecast from Menlo Park-based staffing firm Robert Half. Another 69% plan to hire for open roles, while 8% said they're not filling vacated positions or creating new ones. Two percent plan to eliminate positions. All told, 93% of local executives surveyed said they're somewhat or very confident in their company's prospects for growth over the next six months. "Highly skilled candidates are in great demand throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and they often receive multiple job offers with competitive compensation packages," said Sharon Black, senior district president for Robert Half in the Bay Area. "We're seeing particular demand for professional-level candidates in accounting, finance, administration and technology."
