Burlingame, Calif. -- Lyra Health, a Burlingame-based developer of technology that helps patients find care for mental health conditions and substance abuse, on Wednesday announced it has raised $35 million in its first round of venture capital, which was led by Greylock Partners and Venrock. Led by executives from Facebook, Stanford, and LinkedIn, Lyra Health is developing technology that will match patients with the right treatment and assess outcomes to ensure that patients get the best care. The company said it will use the new investment funds to make its technology available to "a select group of enterprise and health plan customers" in the first quarter of 2016, and it anticipates full commercial availability in 2017. Lyra also said it will continue expanding its technology and clinical teams.

o Mountain View-based SentinelOne Raises $25 Million in Second Round

Mountain View, Calif. -- SentinelOne, a Mountain View-based developer of cybersecurity technology, announced it has raised $25 million in its second round of venture capital, which was led by Third Point Ventures. The company reports experiencing "exploding demand" for its network endpoint protection platform, which allows companies to protect against malware that executes on hard drives or in memory, documents, email messages or web pages, as well as live using scripts or stolen user credentials. "SentinelOne's innovative technology is poised to disrupt what has been a sleepy endpoint security market in dire need of innovation. There is a large addressable market for SentinelOne's technology," said Robert Schwartz, managing partner of Third Point Ventures, in a press release. Other investors in the company include Tiger Global, Data Collective, Granite Hill Capital Partners, Westly Group, and SineWave Ventures.

o San Francisco-based Zendesk Acquires French Developer of BIME Analytics

San Francisco -- Zendesk, the San Francisco-based provider of a customer service software platform, announced it has acquired We Are Cloud SAS, a France-based maker of BIME Analytics software, for $45 million in cash. With the acquisition, Zendesk said it is expanding its position in the market for data-driven customer-service and engagement software. BIME Analytics will become the core technology for Zendesk's customer data platform, the company said. We Are Cloud was founded in 2009.

o Mountain View-based Personal Genetics Firm 23andMe Raises $115 Million

Mountain View, Calif. -- 23andMe, a Mountain View provider of personal genetic testing and sequencing services, on Wednesday announced it has raised $115 million in its fifth round of venture capital, which was led by Fidelity Management & Research Co. Founded in 2006, 23andMe helps people access, understand and benefit from human genome data. The company has more than one million customers worldwide, with over 80% consenting to allow their genetic data to be used for research. 23andMe has recently executed several pharmaceutical and academic collaborations for disease-related research. Other investors in the company include Casdin Capital, WuXi Healthcare Ventures, Xfund, Illumina, New Enterprise Associates, MPM Capital, and Google Ventures.
