o Hyundai "First Date" Ad Tops USA Today Super Bowl 50 Ad Meter

McLean, Va. -- Hyundai's "First Date" ad knocked off three-time defending champion Anheuser-Busch to win USA Today's Super Bowl 50 Ad Meter, an annual survey of pre-registered panelists from across the country. The ad depicts a father, played by comedian Kevin Hart, giving the keys to his new Hyundai to a young man who's taking his daughter on a date, then using a feature of the car to track their location throughout the night and frequently showing up unexpectedly. The ad beat out 62 other commercials that aired during the CBS broadcast. Heinz's "Weiner Stampede," Doritos' "Ultrasound," Doritos' "Doritos Dogs" and Hyundai's "Ryanville" rounded out the top five. Thirty-second ads sold this year for a record $5 million each. The complete rankings are available at the links below.
