San Mateo, Calif. -- A week after pricing its initial public offering (IPO), San Mateo-based Coupa Software, a developer of cloud-based spend management tools, said late Wednesday it has closed the offering after raising $153.2 million. All told, the company sold 8.2 million shares -- including 1.1 million by underwriters to cover overallotments -- for $18 each. Coupa's stock, trading under the symbol "COUP" on the Nasdaq Global Market, stood at just over $30 by late Thursday after surging 84% on their first day of trading. Coupa has raised $165 million of venture capital since its inception, including an $80 million round in mid-2015 co-led by T.
