Fremont, Calif. -- Royole, a Fremont-based maker of flexible displays, flexible sensors and smart devices, said on Tuesday it has raised $80 million from Warmsun Holding Group to kick off its fourth round of funding, which values the company at approximately $3 billion. The company said it will use the proceeds to bolster its research and development, production, and sales activities. Royole, which previously had raised $200 million since 2012, said it expects to expand on the round with several more investments. Royole utilizes flexible electronics technologies to create flexible displays, flexible sensors, and smart device electronics, including its 3D virtual mobile theater.

San Francisco -- Sauce Labs, the San Francisco-based developer of a cloud-based platform for the automated testing of web and mobile apps, said on Tuesday it has landed $70 million in a new round of funding from Centerview Capital Technology, IVP and Adams Street Partners. Buno Pati, a partner at Centerview, and Sandy Miller, a general partner at IVP, have joined the company's board of directors. The company said it will use the funds to bolster its platform, extending its mobile offering as well as increasing capacity and performance. In addition, Sauce Labs plans to add sales, marketing and customer success personnel. Charles Ramsey, the company's CEO, said the new funding "speak[s] volumes about what the company has accomplished and the incredible market opportunity that lies in front of us."

Santa Clara, Calif. -- DataStax, a Santa Clara-based developer of database software for cloud applications based on Apache Cassandra, said on Tuesday it has acquired Fremont-based DataScale, a provider of cloud-based management services for data infrastructure. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. With the acquisition, the company also announced plans to release a fully managed database service, DataStax Managed Cloud, on Amazon Web Services early next year. "Together we will accelerate our customers' ability to deliver cloud applications that provide real-time value, by offering another powerful option for deploying and managing those systems at epic scale," said CEO Billy Bosworth.

o Palo Alto-Based Sysorex to Acquire Assets of Integrio Technologies

Palo Alto, Calif. -- Sysorex, a Palo Alto-based developer of analytics software, said it will acquire certain assets of Virginia-based Integrio Technologies, a provider of IT integration and engineering services to local, state and federal agencies. Under the deal, the company will pay $1.8 million in cash and 530,000 shares of stock, as well as assume approximately $3 million in Integrio's debt. The value of the deal could rise by as much as $1.2 million, depending on the company's performance over the next three years. Integrio, which has approximately 40 employees, focuses on network performance, secure wireless infrastructure, software application lifecycle support and physical cyber security. "We believe that the purchase of Integrio's federal government contracts… will enhance Sysorex's Storage and Computing and Professional Services business segment offerings for key government customers," said Sysorex CEO Nadir Ali.
