o San Francisco-Based Entelo Raises $20 Million in Third Round

San Francisco -- Entelo, the San Francisco-based developer of a big data platform designed to help recruiters find, qualify and acquire talent, said it has raised $20 million in its third round of funding, led by U.S. Venture Partners. Previous backers Battery Ventures and Shasta Ventures, as well as new investor Correlation Ventures, also participated in the round, which the company will use to bolster its investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and accelerate hiring across all teams. "The impact of data-driven and data science-driven talent acquisition is going to be tremendous," said founder and CEO Jon Bischke. "This round enables us to accelerate product development that will underscore Entelo's position as the market leader in applying the latest technologies to the hiring process." o Mountain View-Based Unbxd Lands $12.5 Million in Third Round

Mountain View, Calif. -- Unbxd, the Mountain View-based developer of a product discovery platform for e-commerce, said on Monday it has landed $12.5 million in its third round of funding, led by Eight Roads Ventures, the investment arm of Fidelity International. Previous investors IDG Ventures, Inventus Capital Partners and Nirvana Ventures also took part in the round, which the company will use to bolster its AI-powered platform and open new offices closer to customers in Chicago and New York. Unbxd's core platform is designed to capture and process more than 50 shopper data signals, powering personalized search, navigation and product recommendations on e-commerce sites. The company said its technology helps retailers to capture the 15%-40% in revenue lost due to a poor product discovery experience. "Traditional rules-based e-commerce technology is hard for retailers to manage while also delivering a poor experience for their shoppers," said co-founder and CEO Pavan Sondur. "With a better AI solution in place, retailers are more competitive because shoppers can more easily buy what they seek." Customers include Ashley HomeStore, Express, FreshDirect, Rue21 and ibSupply.
